We can provide expert segmentation of CT imaging data to build 3D surface and mesh models of bones at the knee from many different types of CT data. Starting from semi-automatic segmentation of in-frame data, contour stacks are built up and surface objects created that fit to the bone in 3D.
These 3D models can be of different smoothing strengths, include multiple separate bones, and have different mesh resolutions on which we do our 3D bone mapping and 3D joint space mapping.
This example is a "normal" individual without any apparent structural features of osteoarthritis.
These surface/mesh models also form the basis for our 3D registrations and 3D statistical shape modelling.
