Director and co-founder Tom Turmezei presented KNEE3D to a panel of expert judges at the 2024 Norwich Research Park Innovation Hothouse event, claiming 2nd place from over 30 entrants into the competition and 8 finalists.
Part of the top-3 winners' package will be virtual tenancy for one year at Norwich Research Park as well as receiving support from business startup, funding and intellectual property experts.
This will give KNEE3D an amazing platform to grow their new business, initially providing research services but then developing a long term strategy of completely automated techniques for point-of-care CT imaging analysis.
The ultimate vision for KNEE3D will be to replace x-ray radiographs with CT in the assessment of knee joint disease and health, delivering "data that you can see... data that you can trust" to help patients in their point-of-care treatment and lifestyle decisions and reassure those who simply want to know that their knee joint health is stable.
